Operation Snow
Operation Snow is a grassroots effort to draw the attention of city and state leaders as well as the media to the dangers of radical Islam making its way into our communities.
The strategy of Operation Snow is to have as many of us as possible send emails, letters or make phone calls in a time-staggered fashion (hence the name “Snow”) to various people in local and state government, asking them to investigate the seditious and even treasonous statements made in the literature and books being used by the Islamic Center of Fort Collins and the CSU Muslim Student Association, and by the speakers they choose for their fundraising efforts for a big, new mosque here, and demand that action be taken to protect this town and state from the encroachment of radical Islam and the cultural jihad that is taking place through these associations. (Cultural jihad, as opposed to violent jihad, is the gradual introduction and implementation of Islamic law and values into a culture which eventually supplant the host culture. An example of this would be the recent efforts by Muslim employees at Swift and Tyson to replace the Labor Day holiday with a Muslim holiday related to Ramadan. American workers would have been obliged to work on Labor Day and take the Muslim holiday off.)
So here's what I propose. If you want to be a part of this effort, you may choose which official or officials you would like to contact about this urgent problem. If your name begins with A-G, you would send an email, letter or a phone call in the 1st week of each month. H-N would send during the 2nd week of each month. O-T the 3rd week and U-Z the 4th week. Your correspondence will “snow” down upon the leadership and media. This way, there is no sudden bombardment of any one official, but a gradual reminder to the leadership that there are many concerned citizens taking notice of a growing danger to freedom of speech, freedom of conscience, freedom of religion and freedom of government, and that danger is the pure Islam expressed in the literature, books and people promoted by the above mentioned associations. Using this technique has brought positive reaction in many other cases where it has been employed, because officials often listen to the “squeaky wheels.”
So, your job, should you choose to accept it, is to choose one mayor, city council person, state senator, congressperson or media outlet to write to each month during the week corresponding to your last name, as outlined above. You can take a look at the website to get ideas, but it is important that you frame these ideas in your own words. If we all send something that looks like a form letter, it will be easily dismissed. Here are some “talking points” that may be included in your letter, email or call, so that our effort targets the crux of the problem and demands a specific response from the leadership:
- Point out the two associations, the Islamic Center of Fort Collins and the CSU Muslim Student Association.
- Point out the fact that the literature, books and speakers used by these groups are tied directly to terrorist groups that advocate the overthrow of our country (check the website if you don't yet know this!) This is sedition, a federal crime. Demand that the law on the books be applied!
- Express your concern about the building of a high profile, multi-million dollar mosque adjacent to CSU that will promote radical Islam, as testified to by the literature, books and speakers they use. This mosque will be used as a platform for cultural jihad, which seeks the replacement of the US Constitution with Islamic (or “Sharia”) law.
- Demand that they renounce those groups and individuals they have chosen to represent them and renounce the establishment of Sharia law in any form in the US.
One last thing. Since this is called Operation Snow, it is to be an ongoing effort to engage our leadership and media. Therefore, please mark your calendars in advance for each week of each month that you will contact one or more of those entities, and continue to contact various people for at least a year. We can assess the progress of this effort by then. I would urge each of you to spread the word to your contacts and friends who you believe might be attuned to this problem and willing to take a small but significant role in combating Jihad in their own backyards. If we can engage our network of friends then the pressure on our leadership should truly be tremendous! Please pray for the success of this attempt to wake up our community and state leadership to combat Islamic encroachment.
